peninsula must see hot spots

Every year we travel to the 

Peninsula to have our Christmas break, its my favorite place to be at the end of the year - I have a few places that I love to visit, some of them , on more than one occasion - do you holiday in the same spot each year? or do you like to mix it up a bit - for me it's all about relaxation and family time mixed in with a little inspiration:

first stop 

Peninsula Hot Springs - spend the day here to relax, detox and be inspired, I love how they work with the surrounding Flora - I find my visit here really gets my creative energy flowing!

I can visit this store a million times on my holiday - it is filled with all the things I love and is jam packed with inspiration - I can literally spend hours in this store - so many things to look at - The store was featured on The Design Files - here

This ribbon wrapped tree was amazing - great Christmas tree idea- it was in twined with fairy lights and looked amazing.

I also spotted a mini trend!!! - Flamingo's - keep an eye out for more of these!

The displays in this store change daily, it really is filled with lots of eye candy.  Other spots I like to visit whilst on the Peninsula are:
Sardine in Sorrento, Saltwater, the Art Galleries in the main drag, Big Chair and the Anthropology book store - I would definitely make a day trip to visit these little wonders and see them for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

School Update and some inspiration

Well, another box to tick and another subject to cross off the list.....now that only leaves 10 ( I think). Last week I finished Building and Construction, it really wasn't nearly as boring as I thought it was going to be, although the last week was pretty mad, with two assignments and an exam to sit. Anyway all that is done now and I am ready to take on my new subject 2D drawings - this should be really interesting and useful. I am looking forward to being able to show clients concept drawings and I think I am going to get to learn how to do just that! Hope you are inspired by these vintage doors - I am......I also love the chandeliers! xx

today we have been hibernating at home, whilst one of my little boys fights off a virus/gastro! It's so nice to stay at home all day and just do all the things you need to do to get organised and back in control, all with the TV going and no mother guilt!!!!

I always find it amazing how the cover of a magazine can steer me to buy it or not - are you the same? Sometimes the cover is so amazing that I must have it and then there are the covers that make no connection with me at all and i find myself leaving it on the shelf. Anyway, today whilst I am nursing my little boy I am inspired to create based on this Vogue cover which I love....I am going to call this "cream with bling!"

still very behind in getting my look book up to date and now I have decided to start another one on tiling to help me at work, I've pulled some images together but have not managed to get them stuck into anything yet, so until then, here is a page from my look book inspired by Kylie Kwong.

feeding my current passion for chandeliers - check this one out, i could see this working in a modern white interior used as a pop of colour, would be lovely in an entrance too, available on-line here

today's inspiration

today my inspiration comes from here, these magnificent bags are so beautiful and have such a wonderful story behind them. They are handmade ethnic bags assembled with materials from Thailand's Northern Region. Most of the bags are made from the authentic vintage Hmong baby carriers. You can see that each bag has its own unique pattern, one-of-a-kind bags, which you could never find somewhere else.

well hello there, I have been missing for a few days, sorry...... I've been hanging with my kiddies whilst on school holidays.
