home tour - colour love

This is the fabulous home of Jane Hall - the styling was done by Heather Nette King, I was lucky enough to work with both of these ladies and get to know them. I love Jane's use of colour and how she brings it all together - her home is very happy - and although this is her rather new abode, her previous home was quite similar in its look and feel. I posted about it here. I got to know Jane and Heather whilst doing some work experience back here.  Back then Jane released a bedlinen range called Salvation Jane, but has now moved onto morning radio!!!! with Chrissie Swan. Regardless, her style is infectious - I could look at her home for hours - neutral base, lots of colour added with accessories - loads of art pulled together fabulously and some key pieces that scream look at me! Full credit to Heather Nette King for a great article and amazing styling.  I am green with envy...............

goodbye.......

Last week I headed back into the studio to gain some more valuable styling experience with the lovely Heather Nette King, she was styling and shooting another "Savvy Shopper" page for The Age, but more on that later.

Whilst I was there, Heather and Mike were starting to work on a shoot for Salvation Jane, Jane is about to launch a new linen range and I got to have a sneak peak at it - it will be released next month, so keep your eyes peeled for some truly lovely pieces. On the day there was lots of painting and we had to say goodbye to our hugely time consuming Chevron Wall that we painted for this shoot. This wall has seen many coats of paint and like everything, the show must go on.................. It was lovely to meet Jane and spend some time getting to know her, she is one very busy lady, a Mother, an Actor, Interior Designer and creator of the soon to be released Salvation Jane range, like all of us she is juggling many balls whilst trying to fulfill her own dreams, good luck with the new range, Jane - I cant wait to buy some!

the people you meet

on Friday I was lucky enough to meet the very lovely and talented Heather Nette King - she is a freelance interiors stylist and writer for lots of home magazines and papers, apart from being just a lovely person, her work will make you crawl with job envy. She appears to be the most busiest lady I have met, but somehow manages to make time for little people like me. The lovely Heather and Salvation Jane (aka Jane Hall) will be at Magnolia Square this weekend in Ivanhoe for a revamp extraordinaire! If you get time, pop in and see her, I will be.xxxx

Jane Hall's bright and beautiful home

After seeing the lovely Jane Hall and her house in Real Living Magazine back in November last year, I fell in love with her and her love for colour. I could not stop revisiting her pages and admiring every single little detail. She has the most devine taste, I spy a Loom Rug in her lounge room, some Country Road and Aunt Cookie cushions, ohh, did I mention she has an obsession for collecting cushions!!!!! who hasn't for that matter!!!, I just can't seem to get enough of them, much to my husbands disapproval! I also love her teal Morrocan Pouffe. Her home is the perfect example of making your home your own, it has loads of personality and character, things often missing in homes these days. Jane has recently taken a break from acting and is pursuing a career in Interiors - a passion of hers, she has a fab blog worth looking at.
