school update
Last week at school we started to learn about the Design Elements, in particular we focused on Point, Line, shape and Form. We looked at a number of images and identified each of the elements, it was loads of fun. We then had to gather a number of images for our visual diaries and point out the elements - "He" called this homework - I call it, just what I love to do. Kx

tear sheets
please excuse the photos, the reflection is terrible - but here are few tear sheets I did for my mum on Mothers Day - we didn't get to spend the day together, so I thought I would send her some of the things I know she loves. She has started a look book too, if you haven't then maybe you should, it's a great way to unleash your creative flair and also establish your look/style.......what do you think my mums look is???

my look book
BOO!! ohh it's me, have you missed me? I've missed you all. Time to switch on for 2011, take a peek at me look book, I've been working on it whilst holidaying down the beach, I do love doing this in case you haven't noticed.
I have lots on so far for 2011, I have a new home project that involves all the hard surfaces for the interior...a roofing project, a blind project, a carpeting job and most excitingly, a bathroom project, I am looking forward to getting my teeth into all of these and more.......and of course school starts next week!!!!!!!

my bathroom lookbook
my favorite thing to do at work is to play with all the colour swatches and samples and just look at colour plans for clients and builders. I love looking at the choices and seeing how they work together, the lady I work with, really is the guru when it comes to colour plans and I love just listening and watching what she does. I am learning lots (even though the juggling act is sometimes hard to cope with), and slowly gaining confidence in my own choices. The other thing I love doing is helping clients choose the hard surfaces for their homes, this usually means choosing bathroom tiles for their floors, walls, bench top stones and cabinet colors. That really is so much fun and does not feel like work at all. Here are two pages from my bathroom and kitchen lookbook that is coming along nicely.....

tile love
This is my first tile post - as promised this is the first of many peaks at my tile "look book". And although we don't sell many of these at work, I do love patterned Moroccan tiles. Like wallpaper, they thread an artistic expression into the architecture and fabric of a home - and in these days of fairly neutral backdrops - it's a wonderful relief to come across a space that uses pattern in this way. I also think I love the colours blue and green - consciously or subconsciously I am drawn to these colours and like most, I find them soothing and refreshing and just beautiful to look at - I'd love to use these!

my look book

still very behind in getting my look book up to date and now I have decided to start another one on tiling to help me at work, I've pulled some images together but have not managed to get them stuck into anything yet, so until then, here is a page from my look book inspired by Kylie Kwong.

look book
I have a whole lot of tear outs ready to be posted into my look book, it wasn't until yesterday, that I just realised how much i have been missing my pictures. Then today I saw this post and I thought....I just put that picture into my look book, I love the simplicity and the combination of colours, it really just appealed to me, and to others too, I am sure. More look book next week, hope you all have a lovely weekend.x

well hello....
well hello there, I have been missing for a few days, sorry...... I've been hanging with my kiddies whilst on school holidays. Still lots going on, just need five minutes to myself to pull it all together, in the mean time take a look at my mood board above my work space. Hope you are enjoying the school holidays too!
