Andrew O'Brien Artwork at bargin prices!! as seen on "The Block"

as you all know, I do tend to yabber on a bit, but this post is one you really need to read!! Every room needs a show stopper and I think Artwork has the ability to achieve this in a lot of instances! It's what I love to inject into a room for instant personality and of course, that all important WOW factor.
So with that in mind, you may re call this piece of Art from the last series of "The Block", it is by well known Australian Artist Andrew O'Brien, his work is abstract and high impact. Now this is the exciting part, he has just released prints of his original artwork for a fraction of the price - you can now buy the print and have it mounted and framed yourself, now if that's not reason enough to get your very own piece of art at a fraction of the price, I don't know what is!!!

Freedom Furniture - a little snippet

I caught a little peek at some of the latest Freedom collection - I cant believe it is similar to some of the items I choose some time ago for a Client!!!! This moodboard was done for an apartment in Richmond for the Entry - can you spot the similarities????

there is something special about walking into a home that has stood the test of time, when houses were built rock solid and each living area had its own identity, this house was a joy to work on.  I love the challenges of these ones, and the after shots are always even more special when you see the owners face, even the agents were blown away with this one!

my entry into the Dulux 2013 colour awards

sometimes you just never know until you give it a GO!, well I did promise some news this week and this is the part one!!!
 A couple of weeks ago I decided to enter the world of the unknown, and send in an entry to the Dulux 2013 Colour Awards.  I love pulling moodboards together (as you all know by now!) and so I pulled this together and sent it in! 
It's titled Simple Luxury - keep your fingers crossed for me, and if nothing comes of it - WHAT EVER!!!!

First up - loving the new Real Living Bed linen Range just in @ Target - One of the designs is featured on the cover of the latest edition - supa great value at $109.00 for a queen size, this picture does not do the product any justice - get your copy quick - or better still rush to your nearest Target store and bag yourself a stylish bargin!

guess what's on it way to my place - this beautiful hand stitched piece of art from Rachel Castle - a little piece of her that I love - I plan to frame it for my kitchen area - I will have to post some pics when it arrives!!! Her website is well worth a visit - one day I hope to be able to own an original painting of hers!!! 

SHOP TALK  - Jaclyn Roma - Floral Design

this week I was lucky enough to pop into a really groovy flower shop in the main drag of Ivanhoe, a supa stylish  friend of mine had told me all about  it.  I love discovering new finds and this shop was no exception, considering I was visiting the day after one of their busiest days on the calendar - Valentine's Day!

this week I have been super busy setting up some homes for sale and working on a little project with a well known stylist - I cant wait to share the details with you all - it's very exciting and I am finally crossing off some of my "OMG - I have to do this" things on my bucket list!!!!

ChaLK tAlK - weekly update

just a few things to cover this week in ChaLK taLK, but some serious exciting stuff on the horizon, that I can hardly wait to share with you all!!!
but, Firstly lets do - ShOP tALk
I love getting out and about, and I am always on the look out for something a little bit different! This shop (although located in Byron Bay) ticked all my boxes! It's a lifestyle, art and fashion shop owned by incredibly talented artist Jai Vasicek. It has a  collection of eclectic, cool, global pieces including Jai’s incredible art works that he produces both on canvas and tiles. His unique tiles fill the walls, made up of iconic images and photographs.  If you are planning a trip make sure you take the time to visit Ahoy Trader

Secondly - lets take a look at my property of the week.......

loved stepping inside this one, my favorite room was the main bedroom , with its almost mezzanine like space- it had loads of natural light. The angles and design of this townhouse were both simplistic and stylish - perfect for a young groovy couple!!!!!!

here's a peek at what I am loving at the moment - I am right into tiles and adding a feature that is just that little bit different - this image from The Atlantic -  in Byron Bay is a perfect example of how tiles can transform a space - they look so effective used on the island bench - Love it!

today I lusted over this Pantone Stationary set, AGAIN!! so, I decided to buy it. So Groovy and full of colour, my favorite thing this week! 

Lastly, I think this is really cool - I call it a drinks trolley -  Swoon! so cool and perfect for mixing up my latest favorite drink of choice - The Margarita! - fabulous recipe here!
